Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and skilled **Pickleball Coach** to join our high-performance team. This role involves **delivering structured programs, organizing leagues, assisting with community events, and helping members improve their skills**, all while cultivating a fun, inclusive, and professional pickleball culture.

Key Responsibilities

Program Execution
- Lead beginner, intermediate, and advanced coaching programs (e.g. Pickleball 101, Skills Clinics, Tactical Play sessions)
- Follow and adapt lesson plans based on class progress and individual needs
- Maintain high energy, clarity, and structure throughout every session
- Monitor and report student progress, offering tailored feedback and encouragement

Event & League Facilitation
- Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of club events, themed nights, and social mixers
- Serve as tournament official, match coordinator, or court supervisor for leagues and competitions
- Support community engagement initiatives through on-court demos, exhibitions, or partnerships

Member Relations
- Build rapport with members and visitors, fostering long-term engagement and trust
- Recommend suitable programs or products based on skill level and interests
- Ensure safety, professionalism, and hospitality on and off the courts

Operational Support
- Assist with check-ins, court setup, and breakdown
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of coaching equipment
- Collaborate with coaches and admin team on scheduling and feedback loops

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of pickleball fundamentals (grips, strokes, footwork, rules, strategy)
- Demonstrated experience as a player or coach (certification preferred but not required)
- Ability to run private lessons, group clinics, and match simulations confidently
- Experience in facilitating recreational tournaments or social sports events is a plus

Soft Skills
- High-level interpersonal communication - able to explain clearly, motivate players, and handle group dynamics
- Energetic, positive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
- Excellent time and people management - able to juggle multiple classes, events, and members' needs smoothly
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups, from children to seniors

Bonus Traits
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Pickleball coaching certification (e.g. IPTPA, PPR, or equivalent)
- Tennis coaching or multi-sport background
- Experience with admin tools or event management software
