Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Management of Insurance Programmes by co-ordinating GIP renewal tender process, incl. review and recommend selection of brokers, insurers and other service providers, review insurance policies,
- Monitor and track GIP claims, track recommendations on risk surveys
- Take lead on the assessment and placement of other potential insurances as programmes across the Group but not limited to, Cyber and Transport Operators Liability Insurance, to provide recommendations to bridge gaps between market offerings vis-à-vis requirements at business units.
- Provide daily support & advice to business units on terms of coverage in contracts, premiums, difficult claims cases, and negotiation with brokers / insurers on at the global and local level.
- Support business development projects on insurance due diligence studies and insurance requirements.
- Support construction/expansion projects, and ad-hoc insurance needs by business units when the need arise.
- Identify and recommend claims systems for the various insurance programmes in the company and support users of claims system.
- Monitor the loss control issues and recommendations from the insurers and/or insurance brokers.
- Review business unit’s procurement proposals and recommend for endorsement.
- Manage the regular insurance reporting to senior management
- Review the Group Insurance Coverage Policy annually.
- Collate annual Total Cost of Insurance Risk report & annual report on non-GIP General Insurance policies.
- Undertake ERM and BCM responsibilities, projects and as assigned by the Head Group Risk Management as part of exposure and career development.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years operations risk & relevant experience from large scale organization(s).
- Business oriented, possess the ability to communicate confidently at all levels with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilient character, strong ability to influence and garner support and cooperation.
- Be an individual who is self motivated, energetic and sensitive in cross cultural issues.
- Able to work independently and equally well as a team player when the situation arises.
- Adaptable, keeps up new technologies and impact on the profession.
- Strong driver for results, manage strict timelines and manages work pressure effectively.
- Able to travel on occasional basis.
