Roles & Responsibilities

**Overview**

You will be responsible to assist the nursing team in providing personalized, specialised and cost-effective care to the patients in accordance to established hospital policies and procedures, standards of nursing care and practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates and organize daily listing of endoscopy procedures
- Maintains a clean and safe Endoscopy room for the patients
- Prepares Endoscopy procedure room for procedures by preparing appropriate equipment and supplies
- Perform pre-test on the equipment and AV system for effective functioning
- Perform pre-procedure assessment for Endoscopy patients
- Perform intravenous cannulation for Endoscope patients
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications according to hospital protocol
- Assist doctor in performing Endoscopes procedures
- Assists collection, handling, dispatch and documentation of specimens
- Perform pre, intra and post procedure monitoring of patient according to hospital protocol
- Perform pre and post procedure handover of patients according to hospital policy
- Discharge patient in accordance to discharge criteria
**Requirements**:

- Enrolled Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
- Recognised Enrolled Nurse Certificate or equivalent as approved by SNB
- At least 2 years relevant in Endoscopy is highly preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, positive and caring nature
- Prepared to work on 3 rotating shifts
