**Job Duties**
- Conduct mechanical, physical, and durability testing on materials/products according to international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, BS, EN) and assist in developing and improving testing methodologies.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment such as Universal Testing Machines (UTM), hardness testers, impact testers, and fatigue testers and perform sample preparation, measurements, and test execution while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Accurately document test results, observations, and deviations in a structured manner and assist in generating test reports in compliance with laboratory quality management systems
- Ensure proper traceability and documentation of all test data for audits and client verification and follow laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to ISO 17025 and other relevant accreditation requirements
- Ensure test accuracy and repeatability by following proper calibration and verification processes and assist in internal and external audits by maintaining proper records and compliance documentation
- Perform daily maintenance checks on laboratory equipment and report any malfunctions and assist in the calibration and verification of testing machines to maintain accuracy while working with senior engineers and external vendors for equipment troubleshooting and servicing
- Adhere to safety guidelines and risk assessments when handling testing machines and specimens and properly handle hazardous materials and waste disposal in compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace to minimize risks and improve efficiency and support senior engineers in troubleshooting technical issues during testing
