**Job Overview**

We are a Diesel Engine and Turbocharger Service Company.

We are looking for Senior Technician / Lathe machinist / Turner-fitter.

He will be responsible for machining, reconditioning, balancing and creating mechanical parts using a lathe machine and balancing machine.

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, to set up the machine, select and change cutting tools, and to to dynamic balancing while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Must be able to work independently, effectively troubleshoot issues, and have a keen attention to detail.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances
- Set up and operate a balancing machine, boring machine, lathe machine to fabricate or refurbish mechanical components according to specifications
- Select and install appropriate tools based on job requirements
- Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to inspect completed workpiece.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine maintenance on machines
- Communicate with team members to ensure that production goals are met

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training program completion is preferred
- Prior experience operating a lathe machine is required

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
- Proficient in the use of lathe machines and cutting tools
- Demonstrated skill in using precision measuring tools
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
