**A. JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Manage media-related events/activities**:

- Write and distribute media communications materials including media advisories, media releases, speeches and FAQs with the objective of securing publicity for SPD events, programmes and services
- Work with programmes to identify and prepare clients/spokespersons for media interviews.
- Provide media/communications support for events/projects across platforms.
- Facilitate media-related requests to ensure accurate representation of our organisation in the media.
- Proactively identify opportunities to share our stories using traditional, digital and social media channels.
- Monitor and report/consolidate news coverage.
- Organise media events or activities to support corporate announcements or partnerships.
- Relationship building and stewardship with media to expand media contacts

**Manage the production of SPD publications and marketing collateral**
- Contribute content for SPD newsletter and other digital platforms including corporate websites
- Curate content for monthly EDM and broadcast it to Friends of SPD.
- Oversee the production of annual report.
- Develop and oversee the production of SPD marketing/publicity collateral. Monitor for reprinting or updating where necessary

**Media monitoring and tracking**
- Ensure department reports are updated including publicity summary, media requests, social media postings, etc
- Daily news and issues monitoring

**Ensure correct and proper use of the SPD brand**
- Act as brand custodian and ensure that our brand image across all platforms is aligned with the corporate identity guidelines
- Support the development of brand guidelines

**Corporate and admin support**
- Conduct talks and host visitors to SPD

**Support the department in the development and implementation of communications plans, campaigns, public education and other duties assigned time to time**

**B. JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Tertiary education in communications-related disciplines.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Strong demonstrable writing and editing skills.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in media relations.
- Creative, with a nose for a good story.
- Good working knowledge of social media, publication design and video editing.
- A team player who contributes to a supportive team environment by providing support and back-up to the team.
