Project Title: Study of Exceptionally Gifted Individuals & Educational Provisions [ERFP 12/24 LDP]

Project Introduction:
This study aims to explore the experiences of exceptionally gifted children, focusing on how their cognitive and socio-emotional development influenced their abilities, and the educational/social factors that helped or hindered their growth. Data will be collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective written accounts, from different stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related disciplines
- Basic knowledge of research design in general
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy (i.e., Microsoft Office®, Excel, NVivio,)
- Preferably with experience in data collection i.e. recruitment, doing interviews and doing up research reports/presentations.
- Basic qualitative research analysis knowledge and skills (i.e. Coding, theme development, use of NVivo)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records
- Ability to work effectively as part of a research team, collaborate with principal investigators, other researchers, and stakeholders.
- Self-directed and effectively picks up relevant skills as needed

Responsibilities:

- Liaise with schools, participants and conduct recruitment
- Conduct data collection (interviews and artifact collection) and qualitative analysis such as coding
- Manage project-related administrative work (e.g., prepare reports)
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings: conduct literature reviews, prepare academic publications (e.g., conference presentation, paper)
- Perform other study-related tasks as required by the Principal Investigator and team
