Billiard Marker

This position will be on a 6-day work week (44 hours) basis.

**Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Prepare (brush and iron) and maintain billiard tables for daily use.
- Ensure the billiards room remains clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Polish billiard balls, inspect for defects or necessary replacements, and maintain them for daily play.
- Manage members' cue lockers, including accurate record-keeping and key issuance.
- Maintain club-owned cues in good playing condition.
- Care for and maintain club accessories, such as cue stands, ball cleaners, and rests.
- Assist members with cue tip repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all players comply with club and billiard rules.
- Coach new members and play with members who do not have opponents.
- Score games and tournaments (e.g., National League matches) and assist in organizing section nights, in-house tournaments, social events, and inter-club matches.
- Support the enforcement and clarification of tournament rules and regulations.
- Assist in tracking and recording members’ handicaps.
- Assist in organizing tournament draws.
- Compile and submit members’ accounts for billing purposes.
- Maintain inventory of the billiards room and stationery supplies for events.Perform any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor.

**Required Qualifications & Experience**:

- Qualified Billiards Marker certification preferred.
- Respectful, team player who works cordially with peers and others.
- Self-driven to manage tasks as assigned.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.Able to work rotating shifts, on weekends and public holidays, to help run Recreation events as and when required.
