**The opportunity**:
This company is a rapidly growing global venture capital fund, investing in startups across North America, Europe, China, and Africa to make a difference for entrepreneurs on a mission to drive change through technology.

As our Associate (Investments), you support deal negotiation and execution, including building financial models, preparing investment memos, and board work.

You need to know both the technology and science behind the company and the business case. You will build investment theses, including sourcing new investments and monitoring internal deal pipelines. Working closely with our strategic corporate ecosystem, you will be responsible for sharing relevant deal flow updates and participating in reporting to LPs.

You are people first. You are a Founder's first call, with deep empathy for the founder journey and genuine personal investment in helping build global companies. A networker, you will attend industry and ecosystem events and conferences on behalf of Cathay Innovation.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Prior experience with technology companies, either at a buy-side investment firm, investment banking/consulting firm, corporate development, or as a PM at a company.
- Ideally at least 2 years of experience in top-tier management consulting.
- Highly analytical with an interest in sifting through, and identifying trends within, large volumes of data + basic understanding of financial modeling and accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a point of view and build networks/relationships.
- Self-starter that has the desire to be part of a fast-developing, entrepreneurial project.
