**Procurement Officer**

**Description**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms and pricing.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding procurement activities.
- Oversee warehouse and inventory management processes to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for project requirements.
- Conduct periodic review of existing vendors, provide and execute recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality and delivery.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 6-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the Construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of market trends, pricing strategies, and supplier evaluation techniques.
