**Sales & Service Technician**
The **responsibilities** of such a person are:
Under **Sales**
- Perform product demonstrations
- Meet with customers to understand their needs
- Understand product specifications and capabilities
- Identify customer's needs and recommend suitable products
- Find, generate, log and follow-up on leads
- Generate quotations accompanied by technical expertise

Under **Service Technician**
- Installation, configuration and testing of equipment at customer sites
- Repair and troubleshooting works at both customer sites and from the office
- Maintain detailed service logs and documentation
- Conduct periodic Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment
- Liaising with suppliers to identify faults/errors
- Management of tools and instruments to carry out job successfully
- Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent (strong experience may be considered in lieu of higher education)
- Proven experience in **Business-to-Business** sales (experience in biotech/lab equipment is a plus)
- Proven experience in **technical service** and **sales support**

- Open/Growth mindset and **willingness** to incorporate new sales/service methods (which require feedback and tweaking)
- Interest to learn and understand products beyond applicant's current knowledge
- Proactive mindset to contribute ideas to streamline and improve workflow
- Communicative characteristic to address problems within and outside the company
**Things to note about the job**:

- Physical fitness is important, as the role may involve occasional handling of heavy equipment (e.g. compressors or entire units), depending on project needs

**What the working arrangement would be like**:

- Mix of office desk job, traveling from site-to-site, customer visits and working at customer site (depends on needs of the firm from week-to-week)

Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,500.00 per month
