Job Purpose
- Coordinate patient consult appointment and surgery booking, from financial counselling, shcedulling, pre-operation tests and assessment and preparation to post surgery patient management
- Support and assist the Specialists during clinic consults and during surgeries
- Perform srubbing, circulating dutues and also assistant to the anaesthetist during surgery
- Monitor, observe and assess patients during surgery and post-surgery to reduce risk and injuries to patients
- Competent in assisting patient resuscitation and compliance to intraoperative infection contrrol practices
- Perform checks on emergency trolley, defibrillator and anaesthesia machine to ensure critical equipment are in good functioning condition
- Manage the use of controlled drugs and do drug count
- Perform nursing procedures competently (e.g. venepuncture, cannnulation, instrument sterilisation, wound dressing, etc.)
- Maintain effective communitation with patients
- Attend to patients' feedback
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing / Recognised Nursing Degree
- Advanced Diploma in Peri Operative Nursing or Intensive Care Nursing and/or Certificate in Operative Theatre Nursing Course
- At least 5 years of clinical work expeerience in the Operating Theatre or private surgery clinic work setting
- Registration with Singapore Nursing Board
- Valid practising license, BCLS and AED certification
