**Your future team**

As part of the SAP Labs Singapore, the Artificial Intelligence team has experienced professionals taking on challenges posed by the SAP customers. Based in Singapore, you will have the opportunity to work on the SAP Document AI service, an intelligent document processing solution serving thousands of customers worldwide. You will address real-world challenges in ML engineering in data management and data synthesis, training automation, model deployment and monitoring. As part of the global product engineering team, you will participate in rich and engaging conversations with experts around the globe.

Purpose and objectives

As an Associate AI Developer / AI Developer, you will work together with a team of dedicated experts including AI scientists, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects with a single goal of building the best-in-class AI products. You will work against fixed timelines and your success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions matching the performance of top-notch artificial intelligence systems.

- uild and maintain scalable data pipelines for machine learning workflows focused on document processing.M
- anage large-scale structured and unstructured data assets, ensuring quality and readiness for training.D
- evelop tools for data annotation and synthetic data generation to support model development.S
- upport model training, validation, and deployment for document classification, extraction, and layout analysis.M
- onitor and improve model performance through continuous evaluation and retraining.A
- utomate ML and data workflows for efficiency and reliability in cloud environments.T
- ranslate business requirements into effective ML solutions with measurable outcomes.C
- ollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align data and model strategies.E
- nsure integration quality and operational readiness across global SAP environments.Q
- uickly learn domain-specific document types and adapt to evolving AI technologies.

**Educational and experience requirements**

Required

- achelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.0
- olid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and software architecture.U
- nderstanding of machine learning fundamentals, pipelines, and data lifecycle management.P
- ractical experience with ML or data processing frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Spark).P
- roficiency in at least two programming languages, preferably Python and Java.F
- amiliarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).S
- trong problem-solving mindset and motivation to deliver customer value.E
- xcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
