Senior Civil Engineer

Fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of water and wastewater projects in Singapore & across South East Asia._
- Mott MacDonald Singapore is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Wastewater/Pipelines) to join our growing Water team. This role can either be based in Singapore, or Jakarta. Through this role, you can provide engineering expertise for a wide range of water/wastewater projects in Singapore and across South East Asia. This role will allow you to bring your expertise, grow your career and help drive sustainable outcomes
- Our projects range in scale and complexity and generally drive innovative thinking in helping Clients achieve “zero waste” and “circular economy” processes, concealed/hidden treatment work designs, on-site generation and deployment of leading edge treatment processes, leveraging off our vast global experience. The successful delivery of these schemes will require collaboration across disciplines and our other sector teams in Singapore and our global network.About this role:

- Feasibility, concept and detailed design of water/wastewater/drainage networks.
- Design and Project Management of water/wastewater/drainage projects, including leading Design Teams.
- Writing technical design reports, scopes of work and specifications.
- Support multi-sector agency liaison and approvals.
- Presenting technical solutions to Clients.
- Utilising existing professional networks and creating new ones for business development opportunities.
- Liaison and co-ordination with Clients and Contractors.
- Assisting with authoring proposals (e.g. technical approach, proposed resources, project experience, schedule, fee, assumptions and exclusions, local economic development requirements, etc.).
- Mentoring of junior Engineers.
- About You:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil or Environmental.
- 7+ years of water/wastewater/drainage system design experience.
- Prior engineering consultancy experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Chartered/Professional Engineer (preferred), or on track for professional qualifications.
- Experience writing technical proposals and reports.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with Clients and Contractors.
- Strong desire to assist in developing water/wastewater business.
- Previous experience working in Singapore (preferred).
- Experience in designing Public Utilities Board, Singapore (PUB) assets, including standard specifications, standard details and approvals procedures (preferred).
- Experience in working in multi-discipline teams.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying new project opportunities and completing successful tenders (preferred).
- Experience in hydraulic and drainage design software packages.
- Experience using digital design tools, including designing in 3D.
