**Job Position**:GC Analyst

Performing GC-MS analysis on a wide range of raw materials and fragrance samples. Collaborating in analytical projects with Senior Perfumers by providing detailed analytical reports.

Support in maintaining daily operations in GC-MS laboratory and develop new methods to further improve analytical support.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Conduct extraction and analysis of fragrance and market products using GC-MS, SPME and headspace analysis.
- Provide detailed analytical reports to support creation and matching of fragrance
- Perform, troubleshoot and do basic maintenance on analytical instruments for result reliability.
- Make recommendations for new instrumentation, equipment upgrades and replacement
- Develop new protocols and methods to improve the analytical support
- Work closely with QC, Creative team and perfumers
- To provide ad hoc training to trainee as and when required, on the utilization of GC/MS, SPME and Headspace instruments, analytical methods and interpretation of analysis data.

**Required Skills**:

- Min Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite Applications (Excel, Words, Power Point) and good presentation skills

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in the fragrance and or perfumery industry
- Operational experience and strong affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment and instruments preferred
- Ability to work both independently and / or within a team environment
- Sensory Evaluation experience
