Principal Engineer, Supplier Quality Mgt

Strive to secure "Best in class" consistent and sustainable supplier quality performance in order to contribute to reach the Continental Business and Quality targets.
Components introduction through robust APQP process which include component sourcing, writing of specifications, handling of qualifications and risk management.
Supplier & components quality management and release : Supplier quality assurance along the complete process chain, supplier release and technology release.
Support sourcing process to select best-in-class components and suppliers.
Supplier strategy/Category management : introduce and develop new IC supplier, drive implementation of quality category requirements, negotiation of quality contracts.
Escalation management in case of quality related incidents.
Manage change requests (PCN) from component suppliers and assure comprehensive qualification of any change.
Supplier quality management systems and objectives : Implement and drive the defined supplier quality management system (procedures, guidelines and tools), define and drive supplier improvement programs, lessons learned and read across.
Audits : secure implementation and compliance to IATF16949 and VDA standards.
Use and maintain data systems to collect and evaluate electronics components data and supplier quality related key performance indicators (KPI).
