Job Responsibilities

This role reports to the Team Lead, Market Surveillance. The Market Surveillance team monitors the daily transactions conducted by Global Markets and ensure that strict standards with regards to dealers’ conduct are adhered to.

**Responsibilities**:
Review of day one trades for off market prices. Monitor for wash trade activities and escalate according to protocol. Analyse for irregular trading activities via monthly console reporting. Monitor for round tripping, short selling, max holding period. Conduct regular reviews of the controls in place and identify for any potential gaps. Support overseas locations with new surveillance process rollout. Gather requirements for new surveillance project initiatives and act as liaison with business analyst on project scope. Partner with business and facilitate discussions with Front Office and various stakeholders on any breaches in the market surveillance processes. Support team on data gathering, conceptualising, planning, delivering and communicating strategies to businesses. Monitor developments in the surveillance landscape and assess impact and readiness on the team’s processes.Job Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function. Some managerial or prior experience with related consulting / advisory role is a plus. Experience in creative thinking, problem solving, strategy formulation, as well as familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools will be advantageous. Familiar with Excel and macros as well as SQL programming. Understanding of treasury markets and derivative products. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with control mind-set and positive work attitude. Nimble, able to work under pressure and interested in developing a career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Market Risk and Product Control is the function in Group Risk Management supporting the bank’s Treasury business and is responsible for P&L Reporting, analysis and reconciliations, Market data and valuation controls, Book controls, Structured Products governance and Market Risk computation, monitoring and controls.Be a part of UOB Family
