Development Scientist

Virtual Manufacturing Group is searching for Development Scientist who will lead and support projects on Med-Tech, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, among other industries from a data driven approach.
**Responsibilities**:
1.Take a data-driven approach to develop a sustainable manufacturing/supply chain evaluation framework by integrating operational research solutions, heterogeneous enterprise systems and bespoke solutions, to increase resiliency, flexibility, and sustainability of manufacturing and supply chains operations.
4.Develop a deep understanding of the sustainability challenges faced by MNCs and SMEs in the manufacturing and supply chain domains.
5.Evangelize the Singapore public-private ecosystem on ARTC's virtual and physical testbeds for smart and sustainable manufacturing and supply chain domains.
Job requirements
?Doctoral/ Master degree in Mechanical engineering, Computer science, Electronics, Electrical or Network engineering.
?Excellent publication track record in Industry 4.0-related topics, e.g., machine learning/deep learning, robotics, additive manufacturing, etc.
?Strong modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills using machine learning techniques.
?Strong programming abilities in modern machine learning frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow/Pytorch.
?Experience with operational research and data-driven optimization, e.g., mixed integer programming/metaheuristics/deep learning learning-based discrete optimisation for supply chain demand planning/inventory positioning/ planning & scheduling/ vehicle routing
?Experienced in mainstream deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow) will be great plus points
?Team player and good in interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
