Singapore Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) Full time

**What the role is**
- The jobholder will assist the Deputy Director (Technology Policy) to devise policies and strategies to drive the development of MHA’s Science and Technology (S&T) capabilities. In doing so, he or she will staff key S&T policy decision-making platforms chaired by MHA senior management. In addition, he or she will optimise MHA’s S&T investment, resourcing, and performance in S&T capability development.

**What you will be working on**
- Assist to formulate policies and strategies for issues relating to the development of S&T capabilities in MHA (e.g. framework to govern the use of biometrics data) - Staff S&T capability development coordination platforms chaired by MHA senior management (e.g. Technology and Capability Development Coordinating meeting, and HT Sensors and Sensemaking Masterplan, chaired by DS(D)) - Assist to front discussions with external agencies on WOG S&T-related policies/workstreams (e.g. governance of AI projects) - Staff issues relating to the HTX Act as MHA owner. - Manage the disbursement of HTX grants for development projects - Work with HTX and HTDs to right-site S&T projects and assets. Assume and mange ownership of enterprise needs projects that will be more efficient or cost effective for MHQ to own. - Support the build-up of S&T competencies across MHA, such as HTD Ops-Tech Track Officers - Manage instruments governing S&T collaboration with MHA’s local and foreign partners

Work experience in related fields will be beneficial. - Strong interpersonal skills - Good organizational and analytical skills, able to work within tight deadlines - Resourceful, independent learner who thinks strategically and critically - Good written and effective communication skills
