Our client is one of the leading Venture Capital firms in Europe and has $Xb in AUM and more than 150 portfolio companies. They are hiring an** Analyst** / **Associate** as part of further growth in SEA where their focus will be startups raising Series A to C. As an Analyst or Associate, you will be part of the Growth investment team and ensure the successful execution of due diligence processes across SEA.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Part I - Screening (20%)_
- Drive the sourcing of new investment opportunities through networking and outreach and lead initial screening with a focus on the Asia startup ecosystem
- Meet entrepreneurs with the team regularly
- Participate at startup events to gather info on startups, sectors and new trends
- Dig deep into tech topics you are passionate about to help the team build a thesis on industries & trends
- Part II - Due Diligence (80%)_
- Lead due diligence meetings, reference calls, product and technical due diligence
- Perform competitive landscape research, market sizing, business plan modelling
- Assist term sheet negotiations
- Drafting of investment memorandums.
- Support portfolio companies with ongoing financial analyses and follow-on fundraising processes
- Part III - Support_
- Support portfolio companies with financial analyses and follow-on fundraising processes
- Help us manage our relationships with our LPs through events and special reports on trends they are interested in
- Organize events and build content to promote the fund in the Asian ecosystem
- Build and enhance internal processes

**REQUIREMENTS**
- ** A genuine interest in technology & entrepreneurship.** You don't need to be a VC ecosystem's expert, but we would expect you to show a vivid interest for and convictions on new technologies and tech companies.
- ** At least 1 internship / work experience in a challenging field** (analyst) **or first full-time experience** (associate)**.** We're open to all industries and positions - what we're looking for is someone who has had meaningful responsibilities. Experience in a start-up / scale-up, in finance or in consulting are a plus.
- ** Previous exposure to the Asia tech ecosystem.** Ideally you have already spent some time in the ecosystem be it as a student or through some first work experiences.
- ** Proven rigor & analytical skills.** As an analyst or an associate, being able to analyze and understand complex structures will come in handy :)
- ** Curious & open-minded.** You will meet new people, new businesses and new industries every day. So wanting to learn more about things you know nothing about is an absolute necessity.
- ** Autonomous & organized**. You will need to juggle different tasks with different investors, be able to prioritize your work and be proactive in leveraging the team.
- ** Fluent in English** - both written & communication skills. A second language is a nice-to-have.
- A bonus if you are:

- ** Tech-savvy with an engineering / scientific / programming background.** Knowing how to code and understanding the practical underlying of technologies are a definite plus to assess opportunities, especially in developer tools, cloud & data infrastructure and deep tech.
- ** Have launched an entrepreneurial project.** No one understands entrepreneurs better than entrepreneurs.
