Global Transportation Manager

As a Global Transportation Manager, you will create and implement global sourcing strategies for the Logistics and Warehouses Logistic Services space. With your highly analytical and robust strategic mindset, you would engage and influence key stakeholders (senior decision-makers inclusive) and suppliers. **Job Descriptions**:
**Global Lead for Global Logistics Service Providers strategy**:

- Understand and capture needs and requirements of the different Agilent business groups
- Analyse and provide Market intelligence
- Define the strategy per category and/or subcategories. Align global strategies with the needs of the local site worldwide
- Define tactical plan to support strategy execution
- Support commodity strategy presentations and regular update/review on deployment
- Build and maintain strategic relationship with Service Providers

**Work closely with Regional Transportation Leads to**:

- Align on goals and strategy with respective regional heads
- Ensure the translation and deployment of the strategy into tactics at regional/global level and tracking to successful implementation
- Drive and lead strategic initiatives on transportation and/or distribution network
- Response to market dynamics and drive value creations

**Define and manage service providers' performance**
- Define and manage strategic Logistics Service Providers performance at the global/regional level
- Build, follow-up and monitor the global as well as local service provider action plans
- Participate in the elaboration of the global and local procurement budgets
- Optimise working capital needs, decrease the level of inventories, decrease the administrative cost (number of PO and invoices)
- Global benchmarking of network capabilities and performance where required

**Manage the supplier base**
- Lead consultation, negotiation and selection process with key service providers
- Perform monthly/ quarterly global strategic service providers performance review and follow through with continuous improvement plans, root-cause-analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Negotiate CDA and Supply frame agreements, including but not limited to:

- Optimising and rationalising the service providers base
- Ensuring best-in-class delivery performance from service providers within the entire logistics network

**Risk Analysis**
- Lead appropriate risk analysis & assessment; identify and work to minimise risk within the global logistics network;

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
- Bachelors' Degree or above in Logistic Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Technical and Purchasing Expertise (Cost Analysis, Purchasing Strategy, Negotiation Skills..)
- Strong knowledge and solid track record managing global logistics service strategy and providers
- Ability to work globally
- Knowledge of leading-edge procurement practices, logistics service category strategies, terms and negotiation concepts and business law
- Financial and analytical skills/tools to determine the total cost, evaluate suppliers and suggest improvements in procurement processes (statistics, cost accounting, computer spreadsheets, flowcharting, etc.)
- Management Capability, Communication Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectives. Strong interpersonal skills to represent Agilent Strategic Procurement to suppliers and relate to peers/ managers/ internal partners. Demonstrated leadership and ability to effectively manage projects
- Effective Communication skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite
- Fluent in the country of deployment's official language & English are a must.
