Teradata Admin

**Responsibilities**:

- The main and routine tasks of this position are to:

- Create, maintain, and support Teradata architectural environment;
- Determine database needs for the firm and projects;
- Implement the technical design;
- Create Teradata objects like Databases, Users, Profiles, Roles, Tables, etc. Modifying Databases, Users, Roles Profiles;
- Design and manage troubleshooting/exceptional procedures such as handling hot AMPs, crash dumps, slowdowns, connectivity issues, etc. Plan, design and implement the Hardware and Software upgrade strategy for the Teradata database;
- Model the data and design and draft technical documents;
- Validate the evaluation of the efforts required for each project and task;
- Train team resources on database-related technologies;
- Enhance the process to ensure the quality and integrity of the data;
- Draft complex reports and compile statistics;
- Monitor, optimize, preserve and manage change;
- Clone environments;
- Provide a focal point for integrating technical efforts on projects that involve multiple departments across the enterprise;
- Carry out all other related tasks.

**Qualifications
Over 5 years of Teradata experience utilizing tools, analyzing business needs of clients, developing effective and efficient solutions and ensuring client deliverable within committed deadlines.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Good communication skills, oral and written combined with superb interpersonal skills
- Strong hands on experience using Teradata utilities
- Extensive experience in Performance Monitoring,identifying bottlenecks, error, exception handling tuning of Stored Procedures, T-SQL Queries, Joins, Cursors, long running queries.
