**Job description**

Your main task will be to inspect and assess the condition of cargo ( damage assessment), inspect merchant vessels and other operating maritime assets to assess/quantify damage/losses).

**Qualifications and skills**
- At least 3 years of shore experience in ship’s machinery ull/cargo damage survey, or as vessel technical managers, or safety manager
- Proficiency in English commensurate with the scope of classification, statutory certification, hull and P&I damage handling.
- preferably certificates for marine casualty investigation or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of commercial shipping practises such as ISM/ISPS/MLC code, ship safety inspections/audit etc.
- Required to travel to ship/working site at short notice, even during weekend /holidays
- Knowledge of marine insurance terms and conditions such as ITC clause etc. will be a plus.
- Conducting surveys and inspections of merchant ships to assess their condition, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Preparing detailed reports documenting survey findings, including recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to clients on marine engineering and naval architecture matters.
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as marine engineers, naval architects, and shipbuilders, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of marine vessels.
- Must sailed onboard and hold merchant ship 2nd engineer COC (or above) before.
