- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Video Editor with a solid professional portfolio consisting of corporate and commercial work for diverse clients that demonstrate your versatility, creativity and skill.
- Colour grading abilities, a proven track record in working with plugins effectively and demonstrated skills in 2D Motion Graphics using Adobe AfterEffects are also favourable competencies for this position. Experience in editing projects with government and agency clients is an asset.
- A flexible mind that allows you to zoom in (to details of fine cutting, choice of frame, accurate spelling, placement of graphics etc) and zoom out (to overall storytelling, pacing, rhythm, themes, project timelines and more).
- Excellent attention to detail. (We. Cannot. Emphasize. This. Enough.)
- Clear and effective communication skills in English. Proficiency in another local language is an asset.
- NLE Software-agnostic and open to levelling up your competence in Final Cut Pro X to a professional level quickly if it’s new to you (training resources will be provided).
- Independent, resourceful, organized and up-to-date when it comes to technical troubleshooting, contributing to workflow improvements, making software/plugin recommendations, post-production scheduling, as well as creative editing with an aesthetic flair.
- Loves (everything about) editing.

**What Will You Be Taking Charge Of?**
- Assembling and editing corporate, commercial, interview-led, narrative-driven, training-focused and series-based videos, mostly short-form, so as to communicate the desired messaging and storyline clearly and creatively.
- (If you already have the professional competency or are able to pick this up quickly on the job) Conceptualizing, designing and animating 2D Motion Graphics to enhance live action pieces or as part of full animation work.
- Coordinating and managing external video editors, designers, animators, colourists and audio professionals who are supporting in-house edit work.
- Implementing and improving post-production workflows, so as to drive the effectiveness and quality of edits.
- Maintaining and scheduling detailed and up-to-date archives, with periodic housekeeping.
- Providing clear and timely communication within and across departments, so as to ensure the effective running and completion of projects.
- Delivering top-quality creative work and executing an efficient post-production process through the project life cycle.
- Contributing to ideation during pitch and pre-production, plus providing technical and creative input when necessary during filming.
- Contributing to the development, improvement and execution of systems and best practices.
