Senior Officer, Esg Investment Analyst

**UOB Asset Management** is a leading Asian asset manager with award-winning investment expertise in fixed income and equities. Headquartered in Singapore, we offer global investment management expertise to individuals, institutions and corporations from a regional network spanning Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Japan and beyond. Our comprehensive product suite includes innovative solutions covering retail unit trusts, exchange-traded funds and customised portfolio management services.

**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for a passionate and detailed-oriented individual to support UOBAM’s Sustainability Office. The ESG Investment Analyst will work closely with our sustainability offices across the region to drive internal initiatives in sustainability reporting and investment strategies. This role offers an opportunity for individuals who want to be empowered to push boundaries, pursue innovative ideas and take ownership of initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct fundamental research and analysis on sector and market trends to identify sustainability alpha opportunities at the right scale
- Support cross-regional collaboration in sustainability-related reporting to ensure alignment with the latest reporting standards, regulations and frameworks
- Support the development of frameworks and methodologies for sustainable investments strategy design and implementation
- Evaluate portfolio company climate transition plans and country-sector transition pathways to develop engagement strategies and make informed investment decisions
- Collaborate with investment teams to tailor sustainable investment strategies across different asset classes
- Drive internal initiatives on sustainability integration and climate risk and opportunities (Proxy Voting, Active Engagement)
- Collaborate with data and technology team to design and manage internal databases
- Provide support on ad hoc research, duties and projects as required

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or above; preferred background in Sustainability/Climate, Economics, Finance or related fields
- Preferably solid professional experience in the financial industry and/or sustainability-related roles
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a proven track record of conducting structured, rigorous, and insightful sustainable investment research
- Familiarity in sustainability related reporting frameworks and disclosures
- One to three years of experience in sustainability and ESG consulting
- Experienced in conducting engagement with portfolio companies in ESG topics and climate transition
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise investment insights
- Self-starter with excellent project management experience and ability to independently coordinate with multiple stakeholders to drive results against project timelines
- Data analytics and financial modelling skills preferred but not required
