**About the job**:
An exiting Senior Scientist Manufacturing Science Downstream has just become available at one of the leading pharmaceutical company. This role will be responsible for design, plan, perform, interpret, and report scientific experiments to support overall Manufacturing Science and Technology Downstream strategies and objectives

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead / participate in tech transfer of products from company network / customer to Manufacturing Science and Technology Downstream laboratory. Participate in tech transfer activities from laboratory to commercial scale, support validation activities
- Plan and execute small and pilot scale studies in Manufacturing Science and Technology Downstream laboratory to support technical transfer or routine operation
- Design, plan and execute process development, characterization, and optimization studies
- Lead or coordinate project related scientific / technical activities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of laboratory
- Prepare and maintain lab instructions, evaluate new equipment and technologies
- Support qualification and calibration of lab / pilot equipment with accompanying change control, documentation, schedule, and maintenance
- Comply with applicable GxP regulations, SOPs, HSE & other Company Guidelines in the laboratory. Maintaining up-to-date documentation of laboratory work carried out including documentation storage and archiving
- Owns and represents his/her area of responsibility during inspections

**Role Requirements**
- University degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Chemistry, Biologics, Pharma / Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 8 - 10 years of downstream laboratory experience in biopharmaceutical environment
- Process development / characterization knowledge, DoE experience will be an added advantage
- Competent in technical writing, experimental design, planning and execution
- Good communication and presentation skills
