As a Data Engineering Architect & Functional Lead, you will use comprehensive modern data engineering techniques and methods to support business decisions for the client. You are responsible for successfully scoping and delivering data migration projects to Avanade clients through organization, management, and monitoring of people, methodologies, and technologies throughout the project life cycle. You can collect, aggregate, and analyze structured/unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources and finalize the migration requirements.

Your goal is to support using data-driven insights to help our clients achieve business outcomes and objectives. In this role, you will collect, aggregate, store, and reconcile data supporting Client business decisions. You will help design and build data pipelines, data streams, reporting tools, information dashboards, data service APIs, and data generators.

**Key Role Responsibilities**:
**In this highly demanding role, Day-to-day you will**:

- Lead a team of Data Migration Business Analysts to (a) analyze data, (b) work in collaboration with the Application team to map/transform data, and (c) verify the data mapping with client.
- Develop and optimize data verification/reconciliation approaches and manage the client to verify/reconcile data and troubleshoot/correct errors for every data migration test/execution.
- Propose data treatment approaches (e.g., data cleansing) where required, and manage the required activities.
- Ensure the quality and thoroughness of the analysis performed under your supervision and gather approvals for project deliverables.
- Manage the project cycle from scoping, planning, controlling, and reporting.
- Be responsible for maintaining requirements and leading work plan tasks, as well as identifying and mitigating risks.
- Be responsible for your team's delivery, securing the highest possible quality.
- Support clients in defining and implementing integrated solutions and liaise closely with all relevant partners and teams to develop effective requirements & migration specifications.
- Translate business requirements to technical solutions leveraging strong business acumen.
- Provide technical direction to data engineers, data/business analysts, data integration developers, and database administrators.
- Liaise with the internal team to ensure your clients' needs are incorporated into the specifications & deliverables.
- Be responsible for the quality assurance of all functional deliverables (e.g., Migration specification)
- Manage, highlight, and resolve any scoping and delivery risks/issues with relevant business and stakeholders.
- Create or evaluate a breakdown of your client's business processes so that you can identify and link functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
- Monitor backlog progress by tracking activity; work with the development team to implement, evaluate, and deliver the solutions defined.
- Be part of a fast-paced agile scrum team, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, etc.

**Skill & Capability Requirements**:

- Minimum 12 years of experience with 5+ years of SI/consulting experience with large complex enterprises, implementing large-scale data migration projects.
- Collaboration and Communication. Known for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Consulting experience collaborating with external clients with a consistent record for delivering excellent results.
- Demonstrated experience in turning business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.
- Stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate with customers to develop and manage an action plan.
- Experience in managing / leading multi-cultural teams
- Excellent communication, training and speaking skills, capable of working in a collaborative environment, fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to pick up domain knowledge in short span.
- Ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with technical staff, non-technical staff, all levels of management and clients.
- Feels comfortable facilitating and interacting with the client on all organizational levels.
- Possesses excellent people skills - "Costumer Focus" and a strong relationships builder.
- Has strong time management skills and is resilient, flexible, and able to work both autonomously and in teams?
- Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flow.
- Ability to solve business problems using one or more Data and Analytics services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams, and system integration.
- Experienced in building data pipelines using ETL/spark and distributed computing.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, Azure SQL, and Data Bricks
