**What the role is**
- About JTC Summer Internship
The JTC Summer Internship is a full-time structured internship programme that runs from May - August each year (min. 12 weeks). As a JTC intern, you will be assigned meaningful and exciting projects that will help advance your future career.
At JTC, we place a high emphasis on grooming young talents. Outstanding individuals with the right aptitude and attitude will be considered for JTC mid-term scholarship or a full-time position in JTC upon graduation. **What you will be working on**
- The intern will be assigned to assist the planners in the suitable teams in the following projects:
- Woodlands North Coast Master Plan Review - The intern will help in the review of WNC Masterplan in consideration of existing biodiversity and heritage / conservation and assist on developing the revised masterplan.
- SKED UDG Chapter 2 - The intern will assist in the development of urban design guidelines for SKED.
- North Tuas Basin Masterplan - The intern will assist in studying the detailed local road network and parcellation plan for the reclaimed land within NTB.
- Jurong Bird Park RFP - The intern will assist in developing the project brief, design requirements and tender documents for calling of the Request for Proposals.
- Changi Aviation Park Master Plan Review - The intern will assist to review the road networks and parcellations in consideration of meeting land demands and latest reclamation land profiles of CAP and Changi Bay.
- Pasir Ris Wafer Fab Master Plan - The intern will assist to study the master plan proposal for Pasir Ris Wafer Fab for implementation of infrastructure to support IGLS launch.
- The intern will be involved in the development of the masterplan and will assist in the preparation of graphic presentation materials such as site plans, layout plans, sections, diagrams and concept renderings including development of 3D massing models including preparation of tender documents.
Expected Deliverables
At the end of the internship, the interns are expected to improve on the following:
- Improve urban planning knowledge and skills by participating in the design process of developing structure plans and master plans.
- Improve urban design knowledge and skills by developing urban design guidelines and conducting site analysis and UD inspections.
- Improve technical skills by assisting in the preparation of graphic presentation materials such as site plans, layout plans, sections, diagrams and concept renderings including development of 3D massing models.
- Improve communication skills by closely collaborating with the planners, coordinating with various stake holders (business clusters, other planning agencies) and conducting presentation updates.
- Gain more experience in data analysis and research and through GIS, desktop research, and assist in gathering relevant data for analyses including case studies.
