Discharge his duties as in the Code of Practice for Environmental Control Officer.
- Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Programme according to the format required under the Code of Practice for Environment Control Officer to the Project Manager for approval.
- Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Report to the Project Manager according to the format required under the Code of Practice for Environment Control Officer to the Project Manager for endorsement.
- The main areas of concern are:disease-bearing insects and rodents;
- proper disposal of construction waste / marine clay;
- noise, air and water pollution;
- earth littering;
- siltation of drains;
- food hygiene in canteen;
- proper maintenance of septic tank(s) / holding tank(s), chemical / portable toilet(s) and other sanitary facilities; and any other environmental health matters.
- Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard.
- Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the Project Manager of the construction accordingly.
- Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities.
- Mentoring of newcomers (ECO) and oversee various site ECO.
- Safe Management Officers (SMO) - To get appoint as Safe Management Officers (SMO) in accordance to Safe Worksite Criteria.
- To coordinate the implementation of Safe Management Measures, which include identifying relevant risks, recommending and assisting in implementing measures to mitigate the risks, and communicating the measures to Safe Distancing Officers (SDO) and all workers in the construction site.
- To brief SDO team on corrective actions to be carried out if non-compliance is detected.
- To conduct regular inspections and checks to ensure compliance, and to report to the Developer and Builder and document any non-compliance found during the inspections.
- To take immediate action to remedy any non-compliance found during the inspections and checks.
- To keep records of inspections and checks conducted and corrective actions taken.
- To review SMMs if constant non-compliance is detected. To ensure self-swabbing and testing is done properly and conduct regular audits to ensure that all steps of the self-swab process, testing and cleaning are adhered to.

**Requirements**:

- WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH
- 3 year of experience as Construction ECO
- Registered with NEA as ECO
