ASTEK is offering a role of Mid-Senior Level Confluent Kafka Backend Developer for our Finance project based in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible in Installing and configuring Confluent Kafka, including Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper, and Confluent Platform components.
- Involced in setting up and manage Kafka clusters on various platforms, such as cloud environments and on-premises.
- Efficiently administer and monitor the health of Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Tune Kafka configurations to optimize performance and resource utilization.
- Responsible inthe design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for ingesting and processing data through Kafka.
- Integrate Kafka with various data sources and sinks, including databases, message queues, and data lakes.
- Continiusly implement and manage Kafka security measures, including SSL encryption, authentication, and authorization.
- Involve in Configuration of access control and encryption for data at rest and in transit.
- Leverage Confluent Kafka features, such as Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and KSQL for stream processing.
- Implement data transformations, filtering, and enrichment using Kafka Streams.
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track Kafka cluster performance.
- Analyze and optimize Kafka throughput, latency, and resource consumption.
- Take part in planning and implementing disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure data durability and availability.
- Create comprehensive documentation for Kafka setup, configurations, and best practices.
- Train team members on Kafka usage and maintenance

**Requirements**:

- Experience in installing, configuring, and managing Confluent Kafka.
- Good knowledge of Kafka security and best practices.
- Hands on experience in scripting and automation using tools like Python, Shell, or Ansible.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge in version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Kafka certification or relevant certifications will be advantageous.
