Micropropagation Coordinator

**Title of Role: Micropropagation Coordinator
**Description of Role**:
Singapore’s largest supplier for ornamental aquatic plants is looking to hire a position to perform micropropagation of aquatic plants. The role is responsible for the preparation of sterile culture media, initiation and sub-culturing of the different type of aquatic plant cultures. The role will also assist with equipment maintenance and the administration of sales orders.

**Job scope**:

- Prepare media according to schedule to support production plans
- Divide and transfer tissue cultures to meet production goals using plants using proper cutting techniques
- Assist in the initiate plant tissue culture
- Develop and optimize culture protocol
- Meticulous and independent with an eye for detail to screen cultures for quality and contamination
- To assist equipment maintenance and the administration of sales orders

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Biotechnology or Life Science-related discipline
- Relevant experience in plant tissue culture work or use aseptic techniques in a laminar airflow hood will be an added advantage.
- Be able to work independently whilst being a strong team player
- Have an interest in plants and an inclination towards laboratory work that requires manual dexterity.
- Meticulous, patient and able to work under pressure to meet targets.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
