**The Challenges**:

- Assist and support the surgical team in preparing for day-to-day operations
- Administer and adhere to safety regulations at all times, improve patients' safety
- Improve infection control practices and reduce opportunities of health care associated infection
- Maintain cleanliness of the environment
- Perform routine check on machine and equipments (including operating table), ensure they are in good conditions
- Proper cleaning of room, equipment and other instruments
- Ensure operating lights are clear and in good condition
- Disposal of surgical waste and discard contents from suction bottles
- Check the suction and diathermy machines, ensure they are clean and working
- Performs routine cleaning of operating table/room, equipments and accessories
- Prepare the operating room for each patient as scheduled
- Assist in the safe transfer of patient from the ward to operating theatre, from trolley to operating table, and vice versa
- Clear soiled linen and surgical wastes to the disposal room
- Discard contents from suction bottles and change the suction liner
- Maintain proper housekeeping of operating theatres, sluice rooms, change rooms and bathrooms
- Housekeeping duties

**What it Takes**:

- Min. ’O' Levels. No experience required at training will be provided
- Able to carry heavy medical equipments (20kg-30kg)
- Competency in operating all Operating Theatre equipments and able to provide solution when breakdown occurs
- Able to commit to staggered shifts from 7am-7pm, Mondays - Fridays, half a day on Saturdays. (Alternate Saturdays after probation)
