Main Purpose:

- The assistance engineer is responsible for producing drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with shipbuilding standards
- 2D and 3D simulation on drawing for HDD workflow and operating procedure
- Structural calculation by 2D and 3D software.

Type of Employment:

- Staff

Duty and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)
- To provide design drafting skills of a high quality, an efficient output for all project work undertaken.
- To ensure efficiency and quality by producing drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice
- To provide CAD drawing both in 2D and 3D.
- To provide CNC cutting drawing
- To create purchase requisition form
- Participate in technical discussion of projects and studies when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with company QA and HSE procedures.
- Ensure that drawings and calculation services provided comply with company standards and processes in line with client expectations
- To operate within standardised engineering policies, processes, and systems
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards used in the drafting work carried out
- Liaise directly when instructed with Project Engineers on installation drawings and sketches
- Communicate with lead Draftsmen to ensure knowledge sharing and yard practice.

Prerequisites/Qualifications:

- Relevant experience in Engineering construction or ship building.
- Ability to function within a design team and across multiple projects.
- Sound communication skills, oral, written, and electronic.
- Ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
- Good ability of document control
- Skilful in Microsoft Office Suites.
