Organize and execute work processes in his/her section, guide the Cook ll and Cook lll and assist Demi Chef or Chef De Partie in ensuring smooth daily operations.
Assist in ensuring food quality and cooking techniques used are of high standards.
Prepare food based on department’s menu as instructed by Sous Chef.
Ensure cleanliness of all the areas in kitchen.
Ensure kitchen staffs abide by the rules and regulations.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Prepare, arrange and serve food in the area of patient dietary requirements, cafeteria and other catering related services.
- Responsible for his/her section and to guide Cook ll and Cook lll on food preparation and production matters.
- Ensure proper standards/tools are used for food portioning and appropriate food preparation techniques are used.
- Attend scheduled training and development program organized by department.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors.
- Observe established guidelines on hygiene, safety and sanitation during course of work.
- Serve food at staff cafeteria.
- Prepare dietary cart for delivery of meals to respective wards.
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and kitchen at all times.
- Report any problem in his/her outlet/area/section concerning hygiene matters to Sous Chef.
- Report any problem in his/her outlet/area/section concerning operational/equipment to Chef De Partie.
- Report any discrepancies or misconduct within/outside kitchen area to Sous Chef/Executive Sous Chef.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Certificate in food preparation or equivalent from a recognized institution majoring in Food and Beverage
- Able to speak, write and read English and preferably be able to understand one or more local dialects
- Completed all courses conducted by National Environment Agency (NEA) or basic hygiene courses on sanitation and hygiene related matters or food handling issues
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in food industry
