**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Head of Asia Pacific Distribution, this role directs and leads the Agency and Brokers distribution channels. Ashead of the team, you will help to shape the development and delivery of the distribution strategy. You will influence business colleagues, key customer and intermediary executives to shape and gain buy in to our distribution strategy, and lead thechannels to drive the achievement of business targets and ensure the necessary capacity and capability are effectively developed and managed to achieve them.

**Job Duties**:

- Your primary responsibility is to develop the Intermediaries distribution strategy and lead the channels and wider business community to ensure its successful delivery in order to achieve the business strategy and goals.
- Influence internal and external business strategies, shape and gain buy-in to the distribution strategy and maximize business performance by engaging with the business stakeholders, intermediary/or client executives and external market influencers.
- Direct the delivery of thedistribution strategy and the achievement of business targets; communicating associated accountabilities to the team leads, agreeing associated business plans and KPIs and taking action to address performance issues.
- Define and embed the required standards of business excellence and best practice and agree and sponsor the associated training and development needed to achieve thedistribution strategy and ensure competitive advantage.
- Establish and ensure effective management of systems for distribution pipeline, account and bid management.
- Lead and motivate the team and the wider community to ensure delivery of the required standards of excellence indistribution performance now and in the future and support the continuing personal and professional development of all community members.
- Manage thedistribution function to ensure that resources (people, finances, information, technology, etc.), processes and control frameworks are appropriate to the required standards of sales excellence and best practice, operating effectiveness and efficiency, and Group, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and develop talent in thechannel leadership team and wider community.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Well established and respected network within local and international Intermediaries
- Proven ability in managing, developing and executing business strategy
- Broad span of knowledge in general insurance products
- Excellent communication, relationship building, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience leading and coaching a team, able to create a high-performance culture
- Strong influencing skills
