Taytonn is a leading flavours and fragrances ingredients distributor with operations based out of Singapore. Our business reach extends across Asia Pacific and we work side by side with our manufacturing principles to support growth of our customers throughout the region.
We are recruiting a Purchasing Manager based in Singapore. This role is central in the next phase of our expansion plans and will work closely with the General Manager & Regional Sales Manager in business growth and expanding our product portfolio by working with global principals and regional suppliers.
We are seeking a procurement or supply chain professional who is willing to lead a team and help shape Taytonn for future success and this role is part of the Taytonn management team.
**About the Job
As Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for:
Purchasing:
- Ensuring the Demand Forecast can be supplied.
- Negotiating win/win outcomes with principals and suppliers
- Manage procurement of existing and new materials
- Maintain and strengthen relationship with principals and vendors
- Provide market updates on suppliers, prices, product availability & market dynamics
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve on any non-conformances
- Work closely with principals and the sales team on new promotion a l initiatives
- Quarterly reviews of performance with principals
- Review and work on distribution contracts/ agreements with new and existing principals
Inventory Management:
- Review demand forecast with sales to ensure inventory targets are met
- Maintain/Create Item Master Data & Vendor Masters in SAP
- Management of Government licenses
Supply Chain & Logistics:
- Manage 3PL vendors maintaining KPIs
- Manage relationships and negotiate with forwarders and 3PL to set commercial terms
- To implement framework and conduct annual audit of logistics vendors
**About you
Your qualifications or professional profile includes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Finance, Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a B2B Procurement/ Supply Chain role
- Experience in Flavours & Fragrance/ Specialty Chemicals/ Personal Care industry is an advantage
- Strong negotiation skills & be able to think critically
- Be able to work collaboratively in a team
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
