Insworld Institute is a secondary school in Singapore teaching local and international students a British curriculum, adapted to suit the needs of the international learner.

We work only with small class sizes (4-12 students), allowing us to focus the needs of each individual learner.

**English Language and Literature Teacher**

**IGCSE (O-Level) & International A-Level
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Teach Pearson Edexcel English Language syllabus at Junior Secondary level, IGCSE (O-level) International A-level
- Teach English Literature at IGCSE (O-Level) and International A-Level
- Teach Study Skills, Academic English and other enrichment classes at A2-B2 levels
- Compile schemes of work and lesson plans to meet programme specifications
- Set and mark formative and summative assessment tasks
- Maintain attendance and achievement records
- Provide regular reports on student progress, and attend meetings to review performance
- Help maintain high standards of student conduct and discipline
- Establish positive working relationships with students to promote a supportive and professional atmosphere within the school
- Take an active interest in the welfare of students, including acting as Personal Tutor to some students
- Actively participate in extra-curricular activities
- Uphold the values and ethos of the school through the example of personal and professional conduct

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Recognised Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in English or related discipline
- 3 Years’ teaching experience (desirable)
- Experience with Pearson Edexcel English Examinations (desirable)
