**What the role is**

**What you will be working on**
- You will undertake research and analysis of issues that are relevant to the Ministry to enable evidence-based policy formulation on issues related to housing affordability and accessibility, social cohesion and integration in the residential neighbourhoods, and planning and community living. Your role is to conceptualise, design, and conduct social science research. These studies may require you to administer primary data collection (such as field surveys, observations, in-depth interviews, and focus groups) and conduct secondary data analyses (such as descriptive and inferential statistics, and regression modellings). You will also use data science methods to develop dashboards and undertake research. You will engage a diverse group of stakeholders in the public service, academia and private sector on research-related issues. You will also be responsible for analysing administrative and survey data using statistical techniques and be involved in the development of dashboards for monitoring and visualisation purposes, and to produce reports with in-depth data insights for management and decision making. In addition, you will be required undertake secretariat duties to support MND management at important research and data forums.

**What we are looking for**
- A good Bachelor or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines with excellent data analysis and coding skills. - Strong experience in coding, ability to process large datasets and analysis using R and Tableau. - Knowledge of other data analytics tools like SPSS and STATA would be a plus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain research results simply and logically to non-technical audience and write comprehensive reports. - Good numeracy skills, and meticulous with details as reporting must be precise. - Able to manage projects, contracts, fieldwork, and vendors effectively. - Able to work effectively individually and in teams to establish the business needs. - An analytical mind and inclination for problem solving.
