
O&t Regulatory Reporting Governance Analyst

The O&T Regulatory Reporting Governance Analyst role is part of the ICG O&T Regulatory Reporting Governance function and is responsible for providing governance and oversight over Regulatory Reporting and Change Management. Working closely with the Regional O&T, Country units and business partners/Controllers, the Regulatory Reporting Governance Analyst would be required to develop an in-depth understanding of the Citi Global Regulatory and Management Reporting Policy (GRMRP) and local regulatory reporting requirements to ensure a comprehensive governance environment is maintained.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to ensure that the Regional Regulatory Reporting Governance Program for ICG O&T is driven with greater consistency in compliance with the policy requirements and existing local regulations, by providing governance and oversight across regional ICG O&T functions.
- Participate at various Reporting Governance Committees at regional and local levels.
- Support the Regulatory Governance Lead in running the regional O&T Reporting Oversight Committee forum, assisting in the preparation of the material, tracking KPIs, performing analysis and monitoring follow-on actions to closure.
- Partner closely with regional stakeholders (Controllers/In-Business Control) to stay abreast on issues and emerging risks; perform horizontal impact analysis and escalate to regional stakeholders on all matters related to regulatory Reporting.
- Perform risk analysis and deep dives on common issues and drive implementation of corrective action plans.
- Assist the lead in running the centralized O&T Report Automation Program governance.
- Drive greater collaboration between country units and regional functions to adopt consistent process, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with units to identify automation opportunities to drive operational efficiency and improve risk posture.
- Assist in the coordination of regulatory guidelines analysis / regulatory-ad hoc requests and provide advice and guidance on reg reporting changes.
- Provide support to O&T Country Regulatory Reporting Teams, through regular reviews on matters related to:
- Regulatory reporting Initiatives
- Internal & External exams, audits, and inspections/ deep dives/ second line challenges
- Regulatory Compliance Management
- Policy Compliance
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a robust framework that enables effective co-ordination across the regional functions, country first line teams during reviews, audits, and exams.
**Qualifications**:
- Preferred 6+ years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting/Change management, Governance, Project Management and/or Control and Compliance especially in a banking environment.
- Bachelor’s/University degree.
- Ability to assert and influence and clearly articulate risks and issues.
- Strong operational risk skills including the perceptiveness to identify early warning signals.
- Ability to lead and drive controls across the products and functions irrespective of reporting lines.
- Ability to manage through influence (e.g., management in the absence of reporting lines or with matrix reporting).
- Ability to build rapport and work closely with key country and regional stakeholders and partners within and outside the country O&T function.
- Up-to-date understanding of key risk and control concepts and processes, tools and trends relating to risk identification, rating and prioritization, mitigation, and reporting.
