Singapore SUMITOMO CHEMICAL ASIA PTE LTD Full time

The primary role is to keep abreast of the latest relevant laws and regulations of worldwide countries where our company conducts the sale activities of petrochemical products and provide the necessary support to ensure that our company is in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.

You are required to:
1. MONITOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE LAWS & REGULATIONS

Monitor relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for petrochemical products in the countries where our company conducts sale activities. Proactively engage the internal and external stakeholders to identify and understand the applicable Regulatory Compliance knowledge required to support the business.

2. CONDUCT REGULATORY COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT

Conduct assessment to identify the gaps pertaining to product-related regulation, compliance status, and the impact to business activities. Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full understanding on the requirements.

3. FOLLOW UP ON NECESSARY ACTION FOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE MATTERS

Follow up on the necessary actions to comply with the laws and regulations for each region and each country.

Represent our company as the official window person to negotiate with our manufacturing facility for the relevant Regulatory Compliance availability for all our product portfolio.

Obtain the necessary manufacturing information from the manufacturing facility and complete the necessary procedures and notifications, if any.

4. FOLLOW UP ON TECHNICAL DETAILS

Follow up and work closely with the manufacturing facility's Quality Assurance to ensure the availability of the technical details for the agreed Regulatory Compliance projects.

Maintain our company’s Database for easy retrieval and monitoring for updates.

5. HANDLE CUSTOMERS' INQUIRIES

Handle customers’ Regulatory Compliance related inquiries and provide quality and timely response to ensure satisfied customer service experience.

Manage Regulatory Compliance disclosure of product information, including the Confidentiality Agreement (where applicable).

6. CONDUCT REGULATORY COMPLIANCE TRAINING

Conduct Regulatory Compliance training for Sales and Marketing personnel.

You should have / be:

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Polymer
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience in polymer and/or monomer fields, with more than 3 years in Regulatory Compliance related functions;
- Sound knowledge of Regulatory Compliance requirements and legal frameworks;
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and problem solving skills;
- Able to perform effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced working environment
