Compliance Executive

Compliance Executive performs a supporting role in regulatory advisory, regulatory risk management, and training as well as executing compliance monitoring activities. Responsible for the maintenance of the Compliance Complaints Register, in line with MAS Guidelines on Standards of Conduct for Insurance Brokers
**Key Deliverables**
**Collaborating and Partnering for Client Value**
Good understanding of internal controls, compliance and knowledgeof internal auditing techniques and standards
- Complete reviews for Non-Disclosure agreements and Broke of Records agreements for clients.
- Complete compliance documents required for customers of Honan to share their corporate information including W-8BEN forms, supplier information and Vendor agreement documents
- Work in partnerships with Honan Marketing team for all internal and external communications.
- Creation of action plans with General Counsel in line with regulatory and legislative changes
- Active engagement with stakeholders as necessary to understand compliance with Honan’s Financial Services License.
- Provide guidance and support on data protection matters.
**Inspiring with Operational Excellence**
- Developing and implement training and written content to ensure that all employees comply with appropriate compliance policies and procedures.
- Appointing, managing and monitoring Distributors, Referrers and Authorised Representatives
- Assisting the Company with Risk Management framework
- Provide administrative support and be a key resource for the Compliance and Risk committee in preparation of agenda and minute taking
- Ensure staff and colleagues have full adherence to compliance measure and training such as ensuring Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees achieve their CPD point requirement by year end, including follow ups as well as refreshing in house modules to ensure staff are completing training on an annual basis.
- Drafting documents for partners of Honan Benefits
- Upkeep of registers for complaints, conflicts of interest and breaches
- Tracking progress and following up employees on completing quarterly declaration through Microsoft platform
- Manage various administrative tasks such as Compliance calendar, file structures and adhoc meetings as necessary
- Monitor Honan Compliance inbox and Complaints inbox
**Satisfying and reaching with new technologies**
- Monitor MASNet portal, identifying all notifications that are relevant to the Honan Group and implement changes
- Setting up authorised representatives, underwriters and other third parties on WinBeat
**Sharing Knowledge through Data and Analytics**
- Educate staff and ensure that Senior Management and the Board are informed about new or proposed regulations and legislation which may affect the organisation activities
- Completing research tasks when required and sharing findings.
**Skills**
- Proficient in MS Office suite products
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High standard in collaboration and a team player
- High attention to detail
**Experience & Qualifications**
- Degree holder in Law, Business Management or a related field
- 3 to 6 years experience in Compliance, Law, Audit, Risk or Governance
- Knowledge & experience in human rights and bribery-related laws (e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act /UK Bribery Act) will be advantageous
- Good understanding of internal controls, compliance and knowledge of internal auditing techniques and standards
- Certification in data protection would be advantageous
