**Job Role**

As principal consultant, you will be a topic expert in specific areas and lead project teams. You will drive the delivery of large organisational and technology transformation projects by driving project steering, content delivery, managing the output of other consultants in the team as well as managing the client relationship. You will also assist engagement managers and partners in identifying business development opportunities and pitching for new projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Steering of projects while provide high quality consulting services to clients individually and through managing of project teams
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships across global, regional, and local teams within a complex organisation.
- Assist engagement managers and partners in business development.

**Main Tasks**
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery projects through individual contribution (e.g., steering project directions, liaising and managing various stakeholders, driving analysis, project management, developing recommendations)
- Lead project teams effectively to achieve project success (e.g., delegation of tasks, mentoring of junior consultants, team management)
- Manage the relationship with the client to ensure the meeting of expectations and allow for future business development
- Support business development efforts by building relationships across the organization and helping with pitches

**Key Requirements/ Skills/ Experience**
- 6 or more years of relevant experience in the consulting, insurance or asset management industries
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to work well with both junior team members and senior organizational leaders
- Strong stakeholder management skills - able to manage challenging situations
- International working experience - able to navigate different working cultures
- Strong project management experience
- Experience in leading small teams
- Self-starter with keen eyes to constantly find opportunities to drive improvement on projects and within team

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate University Degree, MBA is a plus
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Second (German or Asian) language would be an advantage.
- Strong insurance, asset management business knowledge or extensive knowledge in an adequate business area
