HeadStart for Life is a private intervention centre that offers various therapy services and educational programmes for children aged 2 years to 16 years.

In line with our vision and mission to help every child grow without barriers, we are looking for a a speech-language therapist who can carry the responsibility of educating children with various cognitive, communication and behavioural difficulties. The speech therapist is expected to be able to carry out assessment and intervention within a transdisciplinary team to set individualized goals (communication) for each child and help each child achieve his/her maximum potential using any necessary support and accommodations. The speech therapist also communicates to parents and other professionals regarding intervention plans and makes necessary adjustments in the plan as needed throughout the intervention process.

**Required qualifications**:

- Holds an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech-language Pathology.
- With full registration under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore
- Has a minimum of 2 years teaching experience with children with speech and language difficulties / differences
- Has strong command of English language

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Has experience in managing children with various speech and language difficulties including feeding issues,

oral-motor deficits, sensory processing issues, and articulation problems.
- Experience in handling social skills group therapy would be an advantage.
- Experience in managing children in a school setting would be an advantage.
- Provide assessment of and intervention for children with simple and complex speech, language, social skills and

feeding deficits / disorders including children with ASD and various syndromes.
- Able to interact with children, parents, and other professionals effectively
- Strong administrative and computer skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Organised and detail oriented
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate and receive feedback from colleagues, therapists and supervisors
- Ability to maintain professional and clinical perspective at all times
