Line Maintenance Certifying Technician and Expert

The Line Maintenance Certifying Technician and Expert International manages the maintenance operation and performs all necessary steps to assure the operation according to EASA standards.

He/she performs and certifies maintenance work on condition based on a Type Rating according to ATA Spec. 104 Level 3 and IQMOVE.

During the shift, he/she deputizes for the Technical Manager in all concerns which may arise during the course of the Line Maintenance Station work and which require an immediate decision.

He/she is responsible for the technical and disciplinary guidance of subordinate employees, incl. induction and instruction of employees.

He/she coaches employees to ensure proper development of all team members.

**Tasks**

**Technical duties and responsibilities**:

- The MCTE-Int. performs and certifies maintenance work on condition that he/she has a Type Rating according to ATA Spec. 104 Level 3.
- All tasks are performed in accordance with valid technical documentation and IQMOVE including revisions of technical documentations / the technical library to assure conformity with EASA regulations.
- The MCTE Int. technician will have supervisory responsibility over MM-Int.; MCM and MT MM2 qualified mechanics / technicians.
- The MCTE Int. manages the maintenance operation and performs all necessary steps to assure the operation according to EASA standards.

**Administrative duties and responsibilities**:

- In absence of the Technical Manager (TM ) the MCTE-Int. deputizes for TM in all concerns which may arise during the course of station work and which require an immediate decision.
- He/she supervises all technical and operational aspects at the station and coordinates the work routines with internal and external parties’ incl. crews.
- He/she manages the entire technical handling and coordinates all flights allocated to his/her shift with the aim to ensure safety, punctuality and an appropriate customer service.
- The MCTE-Int. is responsible for the technical and disciplinary guidance of subordinate employees, incl. induction and instruction of employees.
- He/she coaches employees to ensure proper development of all team members.
- He/she performs the budget planning and control for the respective cost centre in cooperation with the respective regional management.
- Performs personal evaluations of subordinates and develops respective KPI’s.
- The MCTE-Int. carries out, certifies and releases routine and non-routine line maintenance tasks and performs all remaining duties assigned/delegated by the TM.

**Qualifications (training/knowledge/skills)**

**Technical Competences**
- A-level standard of education as well as several years of work experience
- EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License - AML - Category Aeroplanes - with Turbine-Engines (B1.1)
- National release to service authorization or national license in accordance with ICAO Annex 1, equivalent to EASA Part 66 CAT B 1.1 for - MEC
- Evidence of participation in a “human factors” training course, equivalent to EASA Part 66 Module 9
- Evidence of participation in a training course on aviation laws (national and EASA), equivalent to EASA Part 66 Evidence of personal “scope of work”, defined by a national license or national release to service authorization Module 10
- Maintenance mechanic 1 (MM1) or Maintenance mechanic 2 (MM2)
- Successful completion of a workplace assessment
- Successful completion of a lateral entrant workplace assessment in the context of the integration of lateral entrants
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of German desirable
- Valid driving license
- Valid passport

**Authorities (disciplinary/professional/financial)**
- Authorized to release an aircraft to service in accordance with the AML category PART 66 CAT B1.1 after Line Maintenance defect rectification work is done.
- Authorized to release Avionic/Electric LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) replacement as long as the airworthiness of the unit can subsequently be confirmed using on-board optical displays, BITE systems, menu-driven on-board test systems or simple tools or equipment.
