Investment Analyst

**Job Brief**:
We are a second-generation Single-Family Office (SFO) affiliated with a large, diversified conglomerate with an extensive investment interest in Alternative Assets. The SFO currently consists of three investment professionals and led by an independent investment advisory board. This SFO consists of a team of experienced investment professionals that is expanding its markets outreach to cover new markets in the direct and portfolio investments. We welcome an experienced Investment Analyst to be part of our SFO to undertake financial research and report on prospective investment avenues. This Investment Analyst professional will study how our investment is likely to perform and how sustainable it is. The position requires participation in our sound portfolio-management strategy by providing the necessary data for our SFO management in decision making process. The Investment Analyst shall play an important pivoting role based on the following key contributions, responsibilities, and requirements:
**Responsibilities:
**Investment Strategy**
- Direct engagement with Single Family Office sponsors to understand the unique requirements and develop tailored investment strategies that align with the client's financial goals.
- Spearhead process optimisation and streamline internal efficiencies through development of business and operational solutions (such as database organisation to automate documentation of client history and financial needs).
- Engage in pitching, positioning, and presentation of potential investment opportunities to the investment team and top management based on research and analysis findings, engaging with industry analysts.
- Identify and produce internal benchmarking scorecard in line with international industry financial modelling best practices, e.g. financial and non-financial metric evaluation, revenue, and profitability.

**Investment Analysis and Report**
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of market trends and identifying the most lucrative investment opportunities.
- Direct financial assessment and diligence process across portfolios.
- Analyze potential investment opportunities, including evaluating the target track record, investment strategy, value-add, and management team.
- Lead and facilitate the investment reporting and monitoring.
- Examine and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
- Review previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision.

**Business Development and Relations**
- Draft and present internal proposals for approval by the client Investment Committee and Board
- Negotiate, structure, and complete fund documentation.
- Serve on Advisory Boards of portfolio entities, as required. Travel and attend annual investor meetings for underlying investments.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- Bachelor/Master’s in Business/Finance/Engineering from reputed institutions.
- CA/CPA/CFA qualification or Master in Global Management & Affairs or International Finance or MBA (Finance) preferred
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in research and investment management
- Strong fundamental and technical analysis and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to analyse lots of data to provide insights and directions to clients
- Good communication and very strong presentation skills with Excel and PowerPoint or Data Visualization, such as MS Power BI.
- Results-oriented Investment with more than 2 years’ experience with abilities and skills to drive investment strategies, building complex financial models, conducting independent industry research and analysis, and spearheading company due diligence.
- Demonstrated Strategic-minded panning, with proven record identifying macro trends and key growth drivers.
- Extensive knowledge in Direct Investment and Portfolio Investment across Asia, Europe and North America. Confident in communicating value propositions to relevant stakeholders across assets, geographies, and to various organisational levels with proven track record providing due diligence for equity investment in companies or to investors.
