**Roles and Responsibilities**

As one of the key members of the Ministry Team, you will be playing a major and challenging role in heading the entire Children’s Ministry by:

- Providing direction and oversight for the Children’s Ministry which provides children’s programmes during the 2 worship services on Sunday mornings. Age groups range from 3 to 12-year-olds.
- Providing leadership, training, oversight to all Children’s Ministry staff and lay workers to create an environment where children feel welcome and safe, and each child has the opportunity to learn & grow in their relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
- Working closely with the Family Life Ministry Pastor to develop and implement children and family life programmes to reach out to nearby neighbourhoods. You will develop and implement programmes for the spiritual formation of children and equip parents within CBC to effectively fulfil their calling as primary spiritual leaders in their family.
- Providing chaplaincy to the Kindergarten in administering Christian education as well as leverage on our pre-school programmes as an outreach point to reach out to unchurched children and parents who live in the neighbourhood.

**Requirements**:

- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him, evidenced by action, attitude, and behaviour.
- Basic degree in theology from an approved seminary, or relevant degree.
- Previous experience with direction and administration of mid-size church Children’s Ministries or Family Ministries or relevant experience. Experience in recruiting, motivating, equipping, and scheduling volunteer leaders to minister to children and families.
- Experience in designing and developing children’s ministry programmes in a church or other institution e.g. pre-school/kindergarten or teaching experience in a primary school.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and relate to children and their families and a passion to see families grow in their faith together. Ability to reach out and connect with families.

**Skills and Competencies**
- Cheerful and positive attitude. Energetic, warm, and able to relate well with children and parents.
- Servant leader and a good team player
- Flexible and creative thinker.
- Proven ability to share the Christian faith.
- High competency in raising up and training leaders.
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
- Competency with basic computer software, and the capacity to learn new software.
- Able to create and manage a budget.

**Salary**
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and work experience.
