**About the role - you will**:
As an intern, immerse yourself in groundbreaking and exciting projects centered on cryptographic and security technologies. This role offers an exciting chance to develop and test innovative concepts and prototypes, directly contributing to our global research efforts in data security.
- Engage in cutting-edge projects, exploring proof of concepts in cryptography, security, and authentication techniques.
- Utilize your academic knowledge to analyze and devise strategies for data collection, extraction, and pre-processing.
- Assist in enhancing privacy-preserving AI/ML models.
- Document and communicate technical details, progress, and results within the team.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who is:

- A communicator and an enthusiastic team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Eager to learn and grow within a dynamic research environment.
- Able to commit to a 3-month summer internship duration.

**Your experience includes**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems & Analytics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and cybersecurity or cryptography.
- Proficiency in coding or programming.
- Experience in developing web interfaces for User Interfaces (UIs).
- A background or interest in data security will be a value added.
- Experience with development in a Linux environment is an advantage.

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass transportation to work. Being a purpose-built building, The Shugart has excellent employee recreational facilities. Take an active break at our badminton courts, table tennis tables, in-house gym, and recreation rooms. Our yoga and Zumba classes are very popular.
