Singapore AXPO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

AXPO SINGAPORE is expanding its gas/LNG derivatives desk

**Main Duties
- Develop and manage the gas derivatives prop trading book across indices (JKM/TTF/HH/Oil) and contribute to AXSG P&L on a standalone basis or with other desks, as applicable
- Work together with the LNG team to assist and developing trading strategies, hedging, position management and complex deals (e.g. optionality and its monetization)
- Execute orders for the LNG and APAC power desks across all indices (JKM, TTF, HH, JCC, Brent)
- Develop and execute cross-commodities/ cross locations trading strategies together with AXSG and AXSO proprietary desks
- Work together with the analytical teams located in Singapore and Switzerland to enhance models and communicate market intelligence
- Work together with the relevant Business Support functions to enter deals within internal systems manage exposure and comply with Axpo risk management policies
- Understand and communicate clearly the risk/reward in trading strategy to the management and Risk
- Expand Axpo commercial networks in APAC relevant markets

**Education and professional experience**
- University degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science economics or chemistry
- 5+ years of relevant experience in gas trading (physical and derivatives in Asia) in a proprietary trading focused function
- In depth knowledge of US/EU/Asia natural gas and LNG markets/fundamentals and their interactions
- Ability to translate fundamental models and technical analysis into trading strategies
- Experience in trading natural gas/oil options
- Strong counterparties network in APAC region

- Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
- Strong Coding and database skills
- Good command of MS Office, especially Excel

- Ability to dissect, structure and solve complex tasks
- Fluency in English; Asian language an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and volatile market conditions
