Our client is an investment company in the sustainable projects sector that is looking to hire a Compliance Manager in Singapore.

The Compliance Manager will play a key role in the Legal and Compliance team, supporting the Head, Legal and Compliance in the formulation and delivery of strategies, policies and processes to identify risk and achieve compliance with the company’s legal and regulatory obligations.

Core Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of know-your-customer (KYC) checks and other due diligence on projects and investments by the Compliance Team
- Supervise and manage ongoing due diligence, follow-up actions and ensure the KYC file is kept up to date
- Define, design, review and oversee implementation of projects’ and investments’ corporate governance and policies and conduct periodic review and audit where necessary;
- Review and conduct compliance training (including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) and Data Privacy) to projects and investments;
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and the operating policies and procedures and identify potential improvement areas;
- Review and conduct training of the Executive Management Team (EMT) in respect of compliance (including review of training slides);
- Maintain and manage ISO certification and other certifications;
- Act as the Data Protection Officer;
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks, including regulatory compliance awareness training when required.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant Compliance experience is a strong plus;
- Strong knowledge of Singapore, UK (and international) regulatory landscape applicable to financial crime and compliance function;
- Regional experience in South Asia and/or South East Asia developing compliance is a strong plus;
- Willingness to work in a team environment, to learn, contribute inputs and a passion for improving the business is paramount, to anticipate problems and manage risks effectively;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with, gain credibility and respect of all internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.
