The APEX team: APEX - or Automation & Platform Excellence - is a centralized platform team that builds & maintains Grab’s core infrastructure, the foundational technology stack that fuels our products. We're deeply immersed in various domains, including Developer Experience, Infrastructure Foundations, and Reliability engineering. Our mission? To be the driving force behind our product development teams, enabling Grab to churn our value swiftly and safely.

Creating a top-tier engineering experience is fundamental to Grab's success. With thousands of engineers supporting a vast technology footprint (several apps, 1000+ microservices, and databases, 100s of tools), it is vital for us to enable all our development teams to swiftly, reliably, and securely build & run high-quality products. This demands a well-oiled infrastructure platform that allows us to achieve these goals at Grab’s ever-growing scale and complexity.

As a Lead Product Manager for Infrastructure Platforms at Grab, you will leverage your technical and quantitative skills, a customer-centric mindset, empathy, and collaborative approach to drive innovation and deliver well-thought-out platform products and solutions - all geared towards creating Grab’s industry-leading engineering platform. You're committed to being the ‘context leader’ of your space while mastering product skills and continually improving yourself through hands-on experience and learning. You will be backed by dedicated teams of engineers, product designers, data scientists, and internal stakeholders.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**:

- Take ownership of Grab's platform engineering product roadmap, strategy, and execution by closely collaborating with the Platform Engineering team.
- Define problem spaces & corresponding success metrics, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and OKRs, to guide our teams.
- Collaborate with our customers - primarily Grab's engineering teams - to comprehend their challenges, provide solutions, and promote solution adoption.
- Introduce best practices and thought leadership in production engineering to elevate Grab's capabilities.

**The Must-Haves**:

- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in an Engineering context.
- M.S. or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
- Strong storytelling skills: possess the ability to distill complex insights into a compelling and concise narrative.
- Effective communication and relationship management with partners from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Proficiency in extracting insights from data and summarizing key takeaways.
- Excellent judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- An adaptive mindset, quickly acquiring technical skills, and being highly effective across various products due to a strong product management background.
- Capacity to define intricate business problems and articulate requirements spanning multiple product/project areas and teams.
- The ability to combine meticulous attention to detail with swift execution

**The Nice-to-Haves**:

- Familiarity with distributed systems, especially microservice architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, service meshes), is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing infrastructure or reliability products with public cloud technologies is a plus.
